You may just want to lie on the soft sand and soak up the sun. Or you could see if there are any fish to be caught, splash in the waves, take an early morning walk along the 1km beach to the blowhole, paddle in the estuary (or on good days catch waves into the estuary), or get up early and watch the sun rise.
The sand dunes are fragile so please stay on the walkways. And there are a few New Zealand dotterels who have made their home on the beach, along with oyster catchers. One year we came across Blue Penguins.
